Paddy Power to play in Rugby World Cup 2007!!!

Yes this it true Paddy Power's PR team take it to a new level

A Tongan rugby star called Paddy Power says he hopes to realise a burning ambition by scoring a try against England in the forthcoming World Cup.

The player formerly known as Epi Taione caused raised eyebrows earlier this week when he adopted the name of the well-known Irish bookmaker.
Taione who made the change by deed poll, will use the name throughout the tournament which begins on Friday.

The mystery behind the strange name change was cleared up when it was revealed that the bookmaker had agreed to sponsor the cash-strapped Tongan team for a five-figure sum, provided Taione was re-named.

Taione, no stranger to the media limelight, received an 18-week ban last year for biting Irish international Denis Leamy during a Heineken Cup match.

Tonga, and the 28-year-old Power-Taione, open their World Cup campaign with a match against the USA in France on 12 September.

The talented Tongan player will have the chance to realise his life-long ambition to score a try against England when the sides meet on 28 September.

Paddy Power, the bookmaker, is offering odds of 7-1 against the other Paddy Power's dream becoming a reality.
